Aufständische in Naltschik nehmen Polizisten als Geiseln
Rebellen halten Geiseln in Polizeistation fest
hier der bericht der tschetschenischen infoseite kavkaz-center:
The editorial staff of Kavkaz Center has received a report saying that a military operation by subdivisions of the Caucasian Front is carried out in Nalchik.
The short report received by KC's editorial staff reads in detail:
"In the morning of 13 October, 2005, units of the Caucasian Front entered the city of Nalchik in order to fulfill a planned military task. The operation is carried out by forces of the Kabardino-Balkarian Sector of the CF [Caucasian Front] and associated units from other sectors of the Caucasian Front. The total amount of Mujahideen participating in the military operation is sufficient to fulfill the given task.
As of 1.30 p.m. local time, the subdivisions of the Caucasian Front were continuing to combat with the Kafirs [Russians] and Munafiqs [local traitors] directly in Nalchik.
Since the start of the operation, central bases and dislocations of the armed forces of the Kafirs and Munafiks in the city have been attacked. About 110 Kafirs and Munafiqs were killed during the operation. A large number of enemies were wounded. Several buildings of the district militia were destroyed. The buildings of the Interior Ministry and the FSB were partially burned. Weapons were captured. There are prisoners. The Mujahedeen are in control of the approaches to the city and the roads, and of the districts of Nalchik where the operation is carried out.
Four Mujahedeen have become martyrs (insha Allah!). The military operation in Nalchik continues. Additional news will be transmitted later".
Let us recall that the fighting in Nalchik - capital of Kabardino-Balkaria - began this morning. Occupation sources reported that about 9.30 a.m. all primary structures - the Interior Ministry of the republic, the FSB, a DPS regiment, three buildings of the militia, as well as the airport, the hunting store "Arsenal" and a prison labour camp - came under simultaneous attack by the Mujahideen. Combat is taking place in the city and explosions can be heard.
Several buildings of the Interior Ministry of the KBR were destroyed. In particular, the police department No. 2 of Nalchik was burned, where the centre of the so-called fight "against extremism and criminal terrorism" is located. The FSB building was seized.
The occupiers initially reported about the possible seizure of schools and kindergartens, but this information wasn't confirmed. The children were hurried home and no schools are occupied.
The fighting in Nalchik began with an attack on the airport. "The airport was guarded by a company of troops from the Ministry of Defense of the RF, which repulsed the attempt", a source in the occupation structures reported. However, the fighting in this area continues, according to other reports.
The military commissariat of Kabardion-Balkaria began an all-round defense, a source in the staff of the Nalchik garrison reported. Local transport in Nalchik is down, the traffic works with interruptions.
One of the base stations of the "Megaphone" cellular network was blown up in the city, RIA "Novosti" reports in its press service. All travel to Nalchik airport has been cancelled, reports "Interfax" in a press release from the RF Traffic Ministry.
Fighting is also taking place in the Strelki area in the outskirts of the city. There is a large market and an exit from the city towards Pyatigorsk.
The Russian media acknowledge that the local authorities don't control the situation and are transmitting contradictory reports about the events in the city. The occupation command reports that heavy armament is taken to the city and recognizes that fighting is taking place everywhere.
Local citizens are leaving the city in panic.
Earlier, Kavkaz Center had received a first brief report from the Mujahideen. It was said in the statement transmitted to the editorial staff that subdivisions of the Caucasus Front (a structural subdivision of the Armed Forces of the CRI) had entered the city, among them an assault subdivision of the Kabardion-Balkarian Jamaat "Yarmuk".
